21st Century Skill based Education is the talk of the Education World at the global level. Sandy Hooda owner of Vega schools is one such visionary who is trying to bridge the gap between the 21st-century learning and the learners.
He believed that how the students of today’s contemporary world are missing out on the actual learning that should prepare them for the Future. What has to be kept in mind is the fact that the education imparted by the schools is followed on the traditional pattern which has no more significance in the current scenario.
The 21st Century skills that focus on Communication, Analytical Learning, Creativity and boosts collaboration is the need of the hour. It is very important that the children are able to gain practical knowledge of the challenges that exist in the real world.
In an Educational Conference on Why Learning Spaces and Classroom, Design Need a Makeover Sandy Hooda emphasized that how the architecture is important for the learning environment. He focussed that how the 21st century is a knowledge era where the qualities are that of solving real problems, collaborations and the time has come to re-imagine the learning place.
Similarly in an educational session, Sandy talked about the knowledge skills and attitude required in 21st-century education. He mentioned that how the skills are important for the growth and success in the real world. He mentioned that how skills are required to face the real world conflicts in the context of future of jobs and the entrepreneur ecosystem.
With Vega schools, he has implemented the concept of PBL (Problem Based Learning) which is a cumulative experience of the skills that are relevant in the 21st century. He as an educator is working towards making the students passionate and preparing them for the Future.
